Stephanie Marie
Founder

Stephanie’s resume speaks volumes as to how ProPrep Academy came about. She started dancing on a competitive dance team on Long Island, New York, traveling and winning Grand National Championships throughout the U.S. and Bahamas. Moving to Miami for college, Stephanie was one of the Captains for Barry University Dance Team. Having a drive to perform and a love for sports, she took her dance talent to the Pro level. In 2008 she cheered for the NFL Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders. Off the field, she choreographed and performed for local Miami artists, danced in FloRida’s music video, performed at Super Bowl halftime show with Prince, choreographed and danced with Vanilla Ice, taught combo classes at dance studios throughout South Florida, as well as coaching for Miami Springs High School Cheerleading team. After graduating Barry University she went on to dance for NHL Florida Panthers for two seasons 2012-2014. Stephanie moved back to New York after dancing for the Panthers to study all styles of dance under world renown choreographers at Broadway Dance Center’s Dance Program. She had the opportunity to work side by side with the top choreographers and dancers from all around the world. Still having a drive to perform, she finished her Pro Dance career on the court with the NBA Houston Rockets Power Dancers. Making her way through the Pro Dance world it has become her passion to help others achieve and reach their dreams and goals! Stephanie Marie really knows how to create that “WOW” factor. As the Founder and Executive Director of ProPrep Academy, you definitely won’t be let down.

Julie
Choreographer
Julie started dancing at 5 years old. She competed on Drill Team for 10 years and won four National Championships. After high school, I moved to Denton to study Dance and joined the Glee Club for the Fall of 2010. A year later she moved back home to teach in a studio from her hometown. Teaching combo classes and directing competitive groups continued the fire and drive to go Pro! In 2016, Julie auditioned and made the NBA Houston Rockets Power Dancers team where she danced on court, modeled, performed in video shoots, signed autographs and was an ambassador to the organization for two seasons!
After the end of season 2018, she was featured in music videos with artists Kirko Bangz, Baby Bash, and Jafet Lora. She has recently worked with Industry Dance Co. as an assistant choreographer in the TV series- 5th Ward, performed as a movie extra in Hip Hop Family Christmas, and performed/assisted at other local Houston events. Currently, she was hired by Dexterity Talent Company for a performance with Jilly, a Houston based artist, opening for Chris Brown at the Toyota Center.
As one of the Choreographers in ProPrep Academy, Julie brings confidence, drive, spice and a love for dance that you will soak up and carry with you on your dance journey!

Jackie
Choreographer
Jackie Brenna was raised in Dallas, Texas where she trained as a competitive dancer at Cindy’s School of Dance in the styles of jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap, and hip hop. She studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas in Austin where she participated in the University dance program and also performed as a member of ‘Reverence Dance Company’ which focused in contemporary and jazz styles. After graduating college, she moved to the Houston area where she was a NBA Houston Rockets Power Dancer for four seasons. Her ambition and professionalism took her to a captains position for one season with the Rockets. She has choreographed award winning choreography for competitions such as LADM and West Coast Dance Explosion. Jackie has been a guest choreographer for the NBA Houston Rockets as well as local Drill Teams. Jackie’s passion for dance and her professionalism is a shining example of what it takes to go Pro!

Courtney
Choreographer
Courtney is a native Houstonian, who grew up in a family crazy about sports! She started her dancing career as a competitive studio dancer in all styles and later took her dancing to the field with her high school drill team. In college, she danced for the Tyler Junior College Apache Belles where she got to travel and perform with the Miami Dolphins, AT&T stadium, and for the troops in Japan. Her love of performing pushed her to chase her dreams as professional dancer to become a NBA Dancer as a Houston Rockets Power Dancer 2016-2018 and a NFL Cheerleader for the Houston Texans 2019-2021. During her time on the Texans, she was able to perform with R&B singer T-Pain and her team awarded her as the 2020 Most Captivating Performer! Now, she is a successful Top Producer in Real Estate and plans on launching a Real Estate App within the next year. Courtney is excited to share her knowledge with the next generation of professional dancers!

Kekoa
Choreographer
Kekoa's passion for dance and performing started at a very young age as a professional polynesian dancer with Leialoha’s Hula Company, showcasing her culture at various events around Houston. She danced two years at the collegiate level with the Blinn College Dance Team where she won two NDA National Championships. Kekoa then danced at the professional level with the NBA Houston Rockets for four seasons. Currently, she is the Director of Entertainment for the Houston SaberCats' Cats Crew, the first of its kind entertainment team in the MLR. Kekoa’s performance energy will have you fired up and ready for the Pro level!

Kenny Louis is an entertainer based in Houston, Texas. He is currently the Coordinator of the Houston Rockets Launch Crew, a core member of RAD (Rock All Day) Crew and is a principal dancer for Fly Dance Company. At 14 years old he began breakdancing and has been performing since. In high school, he entered Inertia Dance Company which helped him enhance his skill and explore the possibilities of dance - he performed in symphonies, parades, half-time shows, musicals, concerts, and won first place as Dance Champion at MA Nationals.
After graduating high school, Kenny continued to study dance at the University of Houston and decided to peruse dance as a full time career. In 2013 he joined the Houston Rockets Launch Crew and solidified his place as captain three years later, leading into being the Coordinator four years later. 2013 was also the year he joined Fly Dance company, allowing him to travel the United States as well as entertain audiences abroad in over 12 countries. Since 2017, Kenny and his breakdancing crew “RAD” have hosted an annual entertainment event for the community called “The Ether,” bringing in 450+ people from across the U.S. Despite his love of performing, Kenny has always retained a passion for teaching and started his role as a teacher in 2010. He worked for HISD as a dance teacher for Jane Long Middle School. He currently works throughout the greater Houston areas.

Katrina
Choreographer
At 3 years old Katrina easily and notably discovered her love for dance. As her love grew, she began to compete and train extensively in various styles including jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, modern, pointe, and hip hop. Using her training from conventions, competitions, and time in LA, she has grown immensely in the professional world.
Katrina spent 4 years at Planet Funk Academy in Houston where she was a choreographer, performer, director of 3 performance teams, and Director of Operations. With PFA, she traveled to Doha, Qatar to perform at the RasGas Train 6 Inauguration with Team USA. Some of her highlighted Houston performances include Second Baptist Church Fall Riot, Visible Changes Conference, IIDA Product Runway Fashion Show, World Fest International Film Festival, and ELC performances at the Hobby and Wortham Centers with Danscape and Dance Houston in downtown Houston.
Katrina was asked to backup dance for KennyD at Stereo Live Houston for RAW Artists. She was also hired to teach and perform at Bud Light’s “Whatever, USA” event in Crested Butte, Colorado.
Most recently, Katrina has completed her third season with the Houston Rockets Clutch City Dancers. As a rookie, Katrina was selected to perform at the NBA Penguin Games in Shanghai, China. As a veteran, she was asked to choreograph sideline routines and a routine for a home game against the Lakers. As a CCD, Katrina performed as in game entertainment at all home games as well as interacting with the best fans in the NBA. Katrina spent time at many Houston Rockets sponsor events such as Watch Parties, a Night of MVP’s, book drives, Rockets Runway, NBA draft parties, and a photo shoot for The Westin Hotel Gym.
Currently Katrina is teaching at Dance Du Coeur in Sugar Land, TX and hosting private lessons. She also choreographs for high schools, competition teams, and soloists in the Houston area as well as out of town dance companies.
